I wouldn’t say it is hard to do your own piercings. Although precautions must be taken, otherwise you’re looking at a high chance of getting a nasty infection. There are plenty of safety, sterilization and aftercare articles on my site.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Some of the cheap kits you get from Amazon are not the best. I have found that the forceps are crooked, which is really no good! You pretty much get what you pay for!

Thanks for taking interest.

Nice find. I’m don’t really have a need for it but I’ll sure refer this article to another friend. Thanks for the info!

I mean, you poke a hole right?

Thanks to your direction I now realize that it is MUCH more involved. I sure do appreciate you going through so much detail.

I think I’ll check out the rest of your site and see if I can find some other information on this. I think it’d be cool to be able to develop both the confidence AND skill to be able to do this both for myself and my friends!

This post has been very helpful and I now have a much greater knowledge about piercings and doing them myself. In your experience have you ever come across dodgy piercing kits? Is there certain brands or products that users should be avoiding?

You are right in thinking the client feels pain after getting the piercing done. Some piercers offer numbing cream, although I find that this can actually cause problems during the healing process for some people.

Interesting question. I’ve been wanting to learn more about numbing cream used on piercings lately funnily enough.

Thanks for reading,

Hannah.

I’ll be honest, I can’t stand when people get piercing for reasons like that. To each their own though – can’t exactly stop them!

Thanks for your input!

I am very new to those whole piercing process, but I am intrigued by something.

As the professional does the job, after the punch process, I would imagine that besides the blood, the person might have a significant amount of pain.

Is it not advisable for them to use some sort of a anesthetic to numb the pain?

Just curious to know.

I learnt through your article, the process of the piercing.

Thanks for that.
Regards
Roopesh
